Setup and workflow

BELSIPA is governed by its General Assembly, which currently (2025) counts seven (7) ordinary full members.

The General Assembly sets out the strategy of our association. For its enforcement and implementation the General Assembly elects a board, acting on a two year term.

Currently, our Chairwoman is Florence Devleeschauwer who also is the representative of BNPP Fortis in the board while our Vice Chair Filip Gils represents KBC Group. Stijn Peeters of ING and Peter Audoore from Belfius fill the other two board positions. The operational management is handled by Thomas Wulf as acting Secretary General.

BELSIPA works mainly through its committees. Currently there is a standing Legal Committee and an ad hoc convened Risk Committee. Both committees report to the board. The Legal Committee is chaired by Jacques Van de Velde of KBC.
